Bont makes a very good boot, heat molding is great. plenty of personal adjustment once they come out of oven, they adjust to the contour of your foot.

The 2012 Vaypor is the Official Race Boot of Team Bont and many other national team skaters around the world. Over the past 7years, the Vaypor has established itself as our premium inline speed boot winning the overall World Inline Cup as well as many World Championship gold medals. This year we offer some new updates including a new front bumper that has air vents with mesh, a new super comfy tongue, slightly harder memory foam padding, and a new liner.
The base is made by hand by sandwiching cross weave carbon and uni-directional carbon fiber which is embedded with epoxy thermo setting resin. The fibers are hand laid in the matrix according to the strain they will have to bear. Super Mold Technology allows you to obtain a custom fit from a stock boot.
The Vaypor comes with a huge range of outer skin options. The newest style is a rubberized silver fiberglass outer skin which is super light weight, super strong and super exotic.

3 point means bont boots connect the frame in 3 locations instead of 2. This low connection point of the boot/frame makes for a very strong setup. The conicle cone shaped bridges of the boot now come down to meet the frame, making a strong setup with no twisting during skating. One of the most revolutionary inventions since 100mm wheels came out. Bont has figured out how to make a 4x100mm and 4x110mm boot very low profile. The whole speed skating industry has figured out that 100mm wheels are the fastest, but low profile setup are hard to come by.
Low profile means more power to the ground, less stress on ankles and back. This new 3-point apache has a very very low profile, the lowest out of any combination made. This allowes the boot to very low to the ground. Great for skaters with back problems of ankles issues. Bont also add a new angle to the boot. This new lower heal angle gives added back comfort and more stability. This is a huge invention. Many top skaters have tried this and quickly feel the huge advantage in the lower heal.

Race Tip:
The lower heal allows the skater to have more of a side push. Your slide is longer and more to the side than back. Also, the 3-point lower boot angle causes the toe off push at the end of your stride to all on the ground. The frame stays on the ground through the whole push. Thus more speed and comfort.
